Keep built-in models visible when merging models.json, accept custom provider API keys through the login flow, preserve model-level base URLs, and route custom clients through the scoped HTTP wrapper. Also register providers from model-level baseUrl metadata, warn on unknown api values, dedupe login picker entries, and cover the custom-provider behavior with regression tests.
