title description
Installation Operator install paths for Clawdie, FreeBSD-first with shared platform contracts.

Choose the path that matches your host. FreeBSD remains the reference install path; Linux support should follow the same Layered Memory Fabric, PostgreSQL, and storage/isolation contracts rather than becoming a separate product model. See Layered Memory Fabric for the shared data-plane target.

ISO install

Use this path for a new machine or a reinstall from boot media.

  • First boot — prepare setup.txt, optional system.env, and boot the installer.
  • ISO install — choose an image, write the USB, and boot it.

Existing-host install

Use this path when FreeBSD 15.x is already installed and you manage the host.
